Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an academic activity that aims to promote discourse on relevant, and often contentious, global issues. As a mock United Nations, students are given the opportunity to write their own resolutions and debate for its approval on a wide array of both historical and current issues such as discussions on threats of terrorism to developments of sustainable infrastructure. MUN enables students to become more well-informed and proactive in international relations and the United Nations. Furthermore, delegates are encouraged to think from different perspectives and political stances, cultivating a more open-minded and well-rounded mindset.
